The Second Major League
Baseball Game in China

When I saw Jet Li
throw out the first pitch,
I thought, man, he throws
just like my sister
threw
the night she hurled
the rock at my head
and took out
the living room clock.
I was lucky.

Then,
I kept my mouth shut
too.

Nice one, Jim. I hate to expose my ignorance, but (a) who played and (b) who won?

Two exhibition games between the Padres and the Dodgers last March, a few days after the Lhasa ‘event.’ Much weird security concerns on the field for Game 1. I saw Game 2, March 16, and SD won 6-3. It was a good to see baseball in Beijing. Dave Winfield was there watching. What a big guy! And from all accounts a very good guy, too
